The Englishman from Santa Cruz Syndicate Team is the King of Lisboa Downtown 2007! Steve Peat conquered the most wanted red throne for the 6th time. The Brit rider defended his title fiercely and beat his last years’ time. Read more + Pics

- Red Bull Rampage, Utah; 28-3 October 2004

Four days of gruelling mountain biking in Utah’s hot and treacherous rocky mountains came to an end today, as America’s Kyle Strait took first place at the fourth and final Red Bull Rampage.
With no set course and no harsh rules, 30 of the world’s best mountain bikers congregated for the last time to take on the precarious clifftops at this unique mountain bike freeride competition.

Fort William in the Scottish highlands, has won its bid to host the Mountain Bike World Championships in September 2007, despite strong competition from Canada and Australia. The decision was announced Monday 27 September 2004 by the UCI, cycling's international governing body, in Bardolino, near Verona, Italy. For the mountain bike disciplines of Downhill, 4-Cross and Trials, The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships is the most important and prestigious international competition in the calendar. For Cross Country it is second only to the Olympics. The World Championships at Fort William will be the last major mountain bike cross country competition before the Bejing Olympics in 2008 and a key event for all riders and their national cycling federations.

- New High Jump World Record at Siemens mobile X Lake Jump in Zόrich

For the seventh time, the Siemens mobile X Lake Jump was a spectacular event highlight. This time, visitors of Switzerland’s largest public festival, the famous Zόri Fδscht, could watch some of the world’s best mountain bike and BMX stunt riders speed down the six meters tall ramp, shoot off a two meters steep kicker, climbing up to six meters high in the air, then pull off a range of unique and original tricks before plunging into Lake Zόrich.
